Hello everyone, and welcome back to This Month With Cristobal!
December came and went away. So did 2025. The month was magical, although some situations and people got in the way. At least Christmas was an interesting one.
New Zine: Chris or Chiweewee
I decided to do a prompt that I picked out from the prompt jar at the South Side Zine Library. The prompt told me to make a zine about my nickname, and I'm paraphrasing.
I've been called Chris since I'm Cristobal. I received the nickname "Chiweewee" because of my inner chihuahua and my fascination with chihuahuas, calling them chiweewees because they are so cute.
What's in the zine explains everything.
2025 was an interesting year. I did so much while I took a trip to somewhere unexpected.
Visiting Mexico for the First Time
Mid-February of 2025 was when I prepared myself to go to Mexico, my parents' home country. I got on a plane for the first time and wow. Such an experience, as well as what I saw in Mexico.
This dog is an authentic chihuahua mix named Dante. He likes to nip on people's legs. He's one of the many stray dogs that followed my relatives to the ranch.
I know I went to Mexico to go places I've never been to, and write my memoir about high school, but the best part about Mexico are the dogs. I even got to see my first chihuahua in Santa Ana de Guadalupe.

Having luck with finding Christmas CD's at the thrift store.
Experimenting with my video making.
Becoming a consignor at Quimby's Bookstore.
Dating three terrible men.
As I'm writing, it's already 2026. I have plans to make posts on This Month With Cristobal occasionally rather than monthly. That means if I found something fascinating to write about in a certain month, it gets its own post instead of a monthly recap.
